Phivo Georgiou
Clinical Psychologist

Phivo is a psychologist working with clients facing a wide range of emotional, interpersonal, and mental health concerns. He approaches therapy as a collaborative process, creating a space where clients can explore difficult experiences, better understand themselves, and work towards changes that feel meaningful and sustainable. His practice is grounded in curiosity, authenticity, and respect for each person's unique experiences, values, and goals.

Phivo has experience supporting clients across public mental health, private practice, and hospital settings, working with presentations including anxiety, depression, stress, trauma, personality vulnerabilities, substance use concerns, and difficulties relating to emotion regulation and self-worth. He also works with individuals navigating grief and loss, major life transitions, identity concerns, and periods of uncertainty or feeling stuck.

Phivo has a special interest in the ways early experiences, attachment patterns, and relationships shape how people understand themselves and connect with others. He works with clients experiencing interpersonal difficulties, relationship challenges, loneliness, shame, perfectionism, and patterns that no longer serve them, helping clients develop greater insight, flexibility, and self-compassion in their relationships with both themselves and others.

Phivo’s practice is trauma-informed, neuroaffirming, and inclusive of people from diverse backgrounds and identities. He enjoys working with autistic and ADHD clients, LGBTQIA+ individuals, and people living with complex or long-standing mental health difficulties. He values adapting therapy to the individual rather than expecting individuals to adapt to therapy.

Phivo draws from evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and attachment-informed interventions, tailoring treatment to each client's needs and preferences.
